How Can We Help You?

Finding a MAC Address

All network interfaces for devices capable of communicating on a wireless or Ethernet wired network have a Media Access Control (MAC) Address. For manual registration of network devices this MAC address is needed. This list may help you in locating this address on your device. If not, please consult the manual of your device. MAC address may also be referred to as Network Interface Card AddressPhysical Address or Hardware Address and often comes in this format: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx or xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.

MAC addresses appear as a string of 12 hexadecimal digits sometimes delineated by colons, dashes or periods. Hexadecimal digits include the numbers 0 through 9 and the letters A through F. Our interest is in only the hexadecimal digits. Extra digits, letters or symbols will generate an error.

Examples: 00-10-91-af-24-9c, or 00:10:91:af:24:9c
